Hello,
Finished Digital Copyright this afternoon. Did not know there was a chat yesterday for LIS 2600. Had some questions to ask. There is just so much stuff we turned in that I hope I did everything according to instructions. Tomorrow is my husband and my anniversary. That will be nice. Plan on reading reviews for the books and then have a nice dinner with him in the evening. It is sooo hot here and it finally rained today, of course when we were heading down to the beach to swim. Oh well, love the rain and it a lot cooler. All of the tree frogs are chirping now.

Sunday, A New Week

Good Morning:
Just finished a great run and now I am working on my classes. Of course I took a shower. Next biggy is reading 4 books and writing a review. I have finished 2 of the books and plan to spend today and tomorrow finishing the other 2. Going to meet with some classmates Tuesday evening to discuss the books and then I plan on beginning the paper on Wednesday. I feel like I have things pretty much under control as I have found my rhythm. It just took a month to get back in the student groove again. I am used to being the teacher and assigning the work, not doing the work. Okay, back to my reading.

Saturday in the Library

Finally figured out zotero today. Actually I had given up but another classmate figured it out and she showed me. That one about drove me nuts and of course what I was doing wrong was one simple step. Trying to help another out on google co-op but I cannot remember how to do it. I am feeling a lot better about these classes and have a schedule going that is not stressing me out. Time for a workout and then some reading so I can get ready to write the next paper.

Great day today. Janice and I finished Google Co-Op, Zoom Cloud and Grazr. I am so happy to be finished. I should not be too happy because I am sure something hard will be coming my way if I feel too good. I hope my paper is okay, I don't want to have to redo it. Time to go to the grocery store and home. I need to finish one book tonight and write about second life.

I finally figured out KOHA, yipee but I still cannot get zotero, something is wrong. Dr. Tomer told me exactly how to do it and it is not working. I am now on Google co-op and cannot figure out how to tag my URL's and put them on the blog. Of course that's the way it goes in this class. Also need to start on the cloud project. Just the sound of that one makes me anxious. Okay, back to work.

Frustrated and Don't Know What to Do!

I have spent the whole week working like a fool and getting NOTHING accomplished. No Scopus, no Zotero, and no Koha. For some reason I am either a complete idiot or I am missing the point. If someone had a gun to my head and said get those things exported and imported into endnote or you're dead, I would be dead. I have to admit, I give up. I have asked for help and everyone who tells me what to do, it does not work. Everytime I hit export there is a open as file instead of a save as file and forget it. What the hell? AND then there's Koha, what do you do when you get to the end of the rubric? Logic says, save it on the virtual shelf but ohhhh no, there is never anything there. Where does it go? La la land! I am sooooooo frustrated and I like a challenge but hell, when you spend days on something and nothing works, you want to quit. It is also frustrating to read the DB and everyone is done with this and on to other things. I can't even get anyone to respond to my questions. I guess they are sick of me asking. I need a beer.

Frustrating Day!

What a wasted day. I spent hours trying to figure out how to export scopus and Koha and came up with nothing. I am so pissed that I have no results for the day. I am going to give it one last try and then forget it. I am tired and hungry and never seem to have time to eat or sleep. I am even losing weight and I don't want to do that. I just want one thing to be easy but it never is. Alright, I am done complaining and I need to get back to work.

Hello,
Today's another day. Just did a 20 mile bike ride and now it is time to finish my book review. Just need to clean it up a bit and I am done. I was just out on the deck looking at the ocean and wishing I could just crawl under a tree down at the beach and have a nap. No such luck. Gotta finish the paper and then head to the grocery store as there is no food in the house. Tomorrow is our last official day of school even though I did not go on Friday. So now I can totally focus on my classes.

Getting Closer

Buenas Noches,
Just sent Endnoteweb off to Chris. So glad that is done, just one thing at a time. Yeah, right, more like 3-4 things at one time but it seems a little more manageable but maybe that is because I am done teaching and can spend 8 hours a day working on this. Just need to get the book review done so I can play Scrabble on Friday and drink a few beers. That is my reward for the week if I finish. Well, I may not get to play Scrabble but I sure will have the beers. Saturday it will be back to work.

Slogging on Thru

Hello,
The work never ends!!! Last night I got my ID for endnote and then proceeded to finish that work. I don't know how to begin my book review. It is driving me nuts as I am trying to figure out how to tie them all together. I need a revelation and it ain't happening! Ayyyyyy. Maybe a few beers would help??? Also, got to finish up my part of our Hot Topic, those are the most pressing items at the moment. Oh, wait a minute, another addition, got that 40 minute power point to do also. I feel like I am doing so much and not retaining a hole heck of a lot. I have spent the last couple days at work, printing all of the stuff we need to read. I read it and it goes in one eyeball and out the other. I need a vacation, yeah right. Okay, enough complaining.

Buenas Tardes,
Went and checked my grades today and turned in the final copy. Then I hoofed it out of school, went to the store and then the post office to pick up a stack of books. Still have not received the computer book for 2600. They must be rowing it over on a boat. Spent the rest of the day so far completing (YES) the Connotea junk. Glad that is over. I wrote my response to librarians as gatekeepers and now am waiting for the banned books presentation that is still no in our group . Need to reply to that. I am sick of sitting at this computer and am waiting for 5:30 so I can go for a nice long run. I am not stressing like I was but have so much to do. Tomorrow we are meeting to figure out our hot topic presentation. Get that done and then the book review. Never ends. I want to take a nap before I run but I need to look for some articles for the hot topics. Oh, it rained today, but not enough. It is either feast or famine here.
